SPRINGing Outside!

We are enjoying the "warmer" weather here in Michigan the past week! We put the swings back on the swing set and enjoyed several days of swinging, playing outside, riding bikes & scooters, going for walks, and running all our winter energy/germs out!! :) Kaden is learning how to ride his new bike with training wheels that he got for Christmas...because it is new, he is a little nervous about it all. It's funny how we, as parents, don't think about all the little steps involved in learning to ride a bike...learning how to get on the bike, pedaling, steering, turning around, braking, and who can forget about using the bell!? :) Each time Kaden gets on the bike, he gets better and better.

He also is loving the "big kid's" swing and getting underdogs...and he is even attempting to pump himself on the swing. I hate to see how big he is getting! Makenna enjoys her swing too, but sometimes thinks she needs to try Kaden's big swing too. We haven't put up the slide yet, but she also thinks she can do the ladder on her own...which she proved to her daddy the other day that she could! YIKES! She also likes to "ride" Kaden's old tricycle, stand on his scooter, and sit in the Little Tikes car. A new attempt with Daddy was coloring with chalk. Makenna has trouble coloring with crayons at the table with Kaden because she likes to eat the crayons...but I guess she did well with the chalk the other day outside coloring with Kaden, so maybe the chalk didn't taste as good as the crayons- yeah!! :) I think it's going to be a very BUSY, but FUN spring and summer around the Bareman house this year! Belly laughs, giggles, and screams were shared by both kids on this first day of swinging since last fall!
From winter hats, coats & mittens in the beginning of the week...
...to no hats or mittens & fleeces by the end of the week...another day of swinging...

We LOVE springtime!
