Easter

We had a great Easter weekend! We started our Easter "celebration" by doing the 12 resurrection eggs, starting 12 days prior. Mitch and I were amazed at how well Kaden (and Makenna somewhat too) remembered the Easter story connected to each egg's symbol from day to day. On Easter Sunday, Kaden told the Easter story at my parents' with some prompts from Mitch. The final egg was empty and Mitch asked Kaden why it was empty, and Kaden's quick response was, "Jesus is alive!"

We did a small egg hunt at home earlier in the week too, and gave Kaden and Makenna Easter baskets before being in Kalamazoo all weekend. On Saturday, we did a large egg hunt at my parents' church with friends and then Mitch went to the Tigers' game that afternoon. Easter Sunday we heard Matt Giraud (from American Idol) sing at my parents' church and enjoyed a blessed worship service, and also had a fun day at Papa & Nana's with Great Grandpa & Grandma Mejeur and Uncle Jim and Aunt Joyce. Waiting to "start" the egg hunt in our basement :)
Makenna found her Easter basket...and already has her mouth full of candy :)
