Going, Going...GONE!

Kaden has finally begun to crawl! Last week he would do a few paces crawling, then sit up, do a few more paces, sit up, etc. until he got to where he wanted to go. Sunday he was trying to go after a balloon at his cousin Layla's 2nd birthday party, and he crawled all the way across the room to get it! Since then, he has learned that crawling helps him get places he has never been before...like...
* by the water heater while Mommy is doing laundry
(Grandmas, don't worry...he is no longer "allowed" in the laundry area :))
* into his playroom downstairs to find all his toys
* under the computer to pull on the cords
* into the trash to play with paper
* into the bookshelf to sit on the bottom shelf and "hide-out"
* over to the heater vents to feel the warm air on his face
* underneath the dining room table
Now Mommy is a little more busy keeping an eye on Kaden, and Daddy is starting to teach Kaden the names of his toys by lining them up and telling him which toy to crawl to...:) So far, he only knows "ball" out of bear, ball, and car. Daddy thinks "ball" is the most important word to know first, of course! :)
Here are a few pictures from Layla's birthday party. Kaden is the next grandchild to have his birthday on the Mejeur side, so we decided to "pass" the birthday hat on to him.

It's not his party, but he'll "cry if he wants" to anyways :)

Kaden gave us a smile once we told him that his birthday would be next!
