Saturday night we also made it to the annual firework party at Aunt Laure & Uncle Bryan's house after the reunion! Kaden was there already with my parents, and he and his cousins were able to swim next door for a long time with Papa, which he loved!
Mitch and I are always in charge of setting up the washer tournament...and, we usually are pretty successful at winning it too! But, this year we went to the losers bracket right away and were beat by Tim & Crystal (double elimination)...a first due to Crystal's spectacular playing after a lecture from Tim!;) The winners ended up being first time participants Jared and Jordan!
After the washers came dessert and waiting for darkness to hit. Jada, Layla, Kaden, and Ellee all had a lot of fun playing together on Uncle Bryan's trailer. All the kids got to do sparklers too, which was a first for Kaden. When it came time for fireworks, Kaden was exhausted but really enjoyed them!!! Last year he woke up crying from the fireworks and wouldn't go back to sleep, so it was fun to see him lay on Nana's lap looking up at the fireworks and clapping for them. We are sad to think that this might be the last year for the firework party, though!! Maybe we can talk the grandmas into one more year...;)
