Visiting Daddy at Work

Today we visited Mitch at EPS to bring some Valentine's cookies! Some of his co-workers have been asking when we would visit again, so I guess it was time. Kaden has become quite shy lately so he wouldn't tell them his name or how old he was if they asked, but he was willing to hand out cookies to people at their desks. Makenna, on the other hand, was quite social saying "hi" to everyone and waving "bye-bye" too. They both had fun handing out cookies, and in the end they both had suckers to take home!

While we were in GR, I decided to get my ring cleaned at our jeweler, and he spoiled the kids with light up rings, ring pops, and a balloon animal! They were both on a sugar high, and Makenna was a sticky mess, by the time we got to the car wash to get our filthy car cleaned...all the way from GR into Hudsonville (on the opposite side of town from our house), and found that the car wash was closed! So, after a morning of running around and major sugar highs, it was TIME to get home for a little lunch and nap time/quiet time!!

Makenna has started to play with her dolls lately, and is learning how to "mother" them by feeding them bottles and giving them naps. Kaden likes to teach her how to help the babies sleep, so here they are taking naps with their babies. Kaden's daddy isn't too fond of him playing dolls (or this picture), but I say these rare moments of playing dolls with his sister are so cute and need to be captured on camera!! :) I remember my own brothers playing dolls with me...and Kaden would prefer his cars & trains over the dolls most days anyways!
