Playdates!

We have had playdates galore in the last few weeks as summer is winding down! Everyone wants to do the last minute get-togethers before summer is gone! :) Here is a run down of places we've been and friends we've played with...

-Frederik Meijer Gardens with a few of my high school girlfriends and their kids
-Playdate with my old college roommate, Julie, and her kids (they live in Georgia now, but come home now and then to Holland where her in-laws live)...our kids don't see each other often at all, but they had fun together and are close in age!
-Park date with friend, Ellen, and her two boys, Brayden & Landon (and she is taking my two kids for a day while I do a shopping weekend soon :))
-Pool playdate at friend Megan's house with college girlfriends and their kids...what a blast we had swimming all morning!
-Playdate with high school girlfriends again and their kids
-Playdate at the beach with my MOPS group...playing at the playground, swimming, playing in the sand, and having lunch together
-Playdate at the cottage with the Oosterheerts & Helms for the day (we always love a day away at the cottage during the week!)
-Playdate at Aunt Niki's for the day...love seeing our cousins and playing for the day

Whew! We've been busy, but it's been so much fun too!

It's been a great summer, and we are sad to close up the cottage over Labor Day weekend. We are looking forward to fall days, Michigan football, making applesauce, Halloween, and all that comes with a new season in Michigan, though! (oh, and we'll be doing some preparing for Baby Bareman too along the way...stay tuned for news on how Makenna's switch to a big girl bed goes

Pool Playdate at Megan's:
Makenna wouldn't dare jump off the diving board without me right there, but she liked looking cute in those pink goggles! :)

After some encouraging, Kaden jumped off the diving board to me, and was soon jumping off on his own and swimming to the ladder...next step, no life jacket!

They had so much fun in the pool!
