This week we went to the gardens with my mom, sister-in-laws, and their girls to see the butterflies. I was a little worried at how Kaden would do with the butterflies since he has been whining lately about bugs, spiders, bees, etc. outside. So, we talked before going about how butterflies are not scary, but nice and beautiful! And...he LOVED them! He didn't want to leave the butterflies until we talked about going to play outside at the gardens, and then when we were done having fun in the water with boats and in the sand, he wanted to go back in again to see the butterflies once more. It was fun to see the excitement on Kaden's face every time he found a new butterfly flying around, and Makenna just sat in her stroller content and happy or with her nana! We ended the fun morning with lunch out, and it's always so fun to see the cousins playing together and having fun during an outing like this! If you haven't seen the butterflies at Frederik Meijer Gardens, it's a great trip to take...as you can see from the pictures!
