Christmas Eve

Our Christmas Eve tradition is to open stockings in the morning, give the kids a combined gift from us, and have them open their Christmas book. I usually buy them Christmas pajamas too...so here they are snuggled in and ready to open their stockings... :) Makenna didn't want to wear her reindeer antlers headband...hence the fabulous bedhead hair! :)
Love how fun it is as they get older to do these Christmas traditions!

Reading "God Gave Us Christmas", the new Christmas book this year that they opened. Our stash of Christmas books grows each year, and it is fun to bring them out at the special time of Christmas.

Christmas Eve night is always spent with the Baremans... Here the 9 grandkids are singing "Away in the Manger"...we also had a clarinet solo by Cam, a piano solo by Brett, a reading done by Brett, Brianna & Cam, a vocal solo by Alia, and several other special memories as we focused on the true meaning of Christmas before dinner & opening gifts.

Each year it becomes more difficult to get this group to smile for us all at once! :)

We had a great Christmas Eve, and the day always seems to go too fast! The kids loved talking about Jesus' birthday, and they also liked all of the wonderful gifts they were spoiled with. I'll have to post a picture of the kids playing at their new playroom table and stools that they received. Hoping it's a great spot for play-doh, coloring, legos, etc. in the coming months as we transition to having a baby around the house! :)
