1st Weekend at the Cottage!

Memorial Day weekend has come and gone again...it's always great opening up the cottage! Makenna loved swinging, swimming, attention from all of her cousins, and being outside. Kaden loved swimming with his cousins, riding in the speed boat & pontoon boat, swinging, playing with his cousins, and getting treats from Papa. We all survived sleeping together for a night in one room at the cottage, and we actually got a decent night of sleep! We have a family vacation with my family coming up soon at a beach house, so the cottage will be good practice for all of us to be in one room together through the night. On Memorial Day, we went down to Kalamazoo from the cottage (in Allegan) and watched the parade with Papa & Nana Mejeur. Kaden loved the parade- Papa showed him the firetrucks and police cars at the fire station, he got a lot of candy and a flag, he heard a few bands play, and got to pet a few dogs. I think his favorite in any parade, though, are the marching bands. To top off the day, Kaden even had his FIRST stinky at my parents' house and earned a new little toy motor home from Papa for doing a stinky! Maybe we'll get a picture of this occurrence soon, if he does it again! ;) It was a good weekend, and now I celebrate my last birthday in my twenties this Thursday...hard to believe! I'm so blessed with great family, friends, a wonderful husband, and two fantastic kids...we are loving life right now, if you can't tell from all of the pictures!
