Gettin' Sandy in the Sandbox

Figuring out how to use the shovel... Having fun playing in the sandbox and drinking his sippy...
Getting brave enough to get sand all over his hands...
"Cheese" face for the camera...

The people we bought our house from left their little plastic sandbox for Kaden last summer. We finally got some sand to fill it for this summer so he could play in it. His first try in the sand, he wasn't quite sure what to do and didn't like getting his hands and feet all sandy. He would stick his hands out to us so we could clean them off every time they got sandy. Ever since, though, he gets right in and lets the sand fly! :) Kaden likes to play "hide the shovel" with Mommy, and we are working on using the shovel properly so he doesn't fly sand everywhere (mainly all over his friends that are playing with him). Shovels are a bit bigger than his eating spoons, so he is trying to figure out how to use them to get sand into his buckets instead of getting the sand everywhere BUT in the bucket itself! :)
