Our Sweet Cupcake!

Makenna's 1st birthday is tomorrow...the year has just flown by! We had one of her birthday parties last night with the Mejeur family. The party was cupcake themed, and Makenna seemed to love her first birthday party! :) I had made her a cupcake knot dress with some ruffle pants to match, along with a cupcake bow. It was so fun to see her all dressed up for the party! First, the kids decorated their own pumpkins- and they all turned out so cute! Then, Makenna was able to open up her gifts with the kind help of Layla and Kaden. She didn't quite get it, but tried a few times to tear at the wrapping paper. She definitely showed interest in all of her gifts once they were opened, though! It was fun for me to see her hold her doll that I made for her, special to match her cupcake outfit too. After gifts, we sang to Makenna, who head-bobbed through the whole song. She attempted to grab at the lit candle on her cupcake several times, but didn't quite get the blowing out the candle part. She did however enjoy eating AND wearing her cake! The older kids decorated their own cupcakes which was fun for them too. The birthday girl was all partied out by the end of the night! Cupcake stand
