Our township had trick or treating last night, so we had a fun, but busy, day with the swing set being put in too! My parents hauled the swing set to our house, so they were here for the day. We had pizza for dinner with my parents, Tim, Crystal & Ellee before the madness of trick or treating started!! :) After dinner, we got our two clowns ready for Halloween, and my parents stayed at our house to hand out candy. Kaden & Makenna both did a great job and had a lot of fun. This was Makenna's second Halloween, although she was only 5 days old last year, and she loved it! At a few houses she even walked up to get some candy and figured out that she could pick one candy out to put in her bag. It was so cute to see her waddling around in her clown outfit and oversized hat, which she didn't fuss over much all night! Kaden loves candy, so he was all about running to each house and yelling "trick or treat" UNLESS he heard a dog barking...then he would back away and let Mom or Dad get some candy in his bucket for him! He was pooped at the end of the night, and asked to go home, where he showed all his candy proudly to Papa Mejeur. Hard to believe it was his 3rd time trick or treating around our neighborhood! He was also a very cute clown and insisted on having a green mouth painted on him (his favorite color). He was asking to be a dog (odd, isn't it?!) all week for Halloween, so I'm guessing next year I'll have to let him help decide what his costume will be...Mommy sure has enjoyed just using hand-me-down costumes the last few years, though! It was a fun night of trick or treating with Ellee and neighbors, Addison and Brynn. We also got a visit after trick or treating from Bryson (dressed as a cute bear), and Papa & Nana Bareman too! We were a little bummed that the night didn't end better with a Michigan victory...but oh well...it was a great day!
