We are getting back into the schedule of a normal life again and enjoying some special holiday things together as a family...
Kaden loves to make crafts, so here are a few things we have done...
Kaden & Makenna's snowmen
Christmas cinnamon ornaments...they are still drying so I'll have to post the finished products picture in the next few days!
Along with crafts, Kaden loves to play the "night-night" game where he pretends to sleep...and he often likes his daddy to join in, and sometimes Makenna too...

Makenna tolerates the game for just a few seconds, and she'll lay her head on the pillow and then hop right back up to play!

A game that Makenna likes to do involves the travel toothbrush carrier from the bathroom. She grabs it, pulls it apart, gives one half to Kaden and keeps the other half for herself. Then, the two of them march around the house playing their "instruments" or kazoos. They laugh and laugh as they march around...

This year we started a new tradition for Christmas...we went driving to look at Christmas lights in our pajamas! We also had to take our blankets, teddies, sippies, cars, and warm hats...
Kaden loved the Christmas lights (especially the green lights)
Our favorite two houses were tuned into a radio station that played the same song every 2 minutes. The lights lit up, changed color, "danced", and switched on and off as the music played.
Makenna loved the lights tour too!
Second house tuned to the music...it was a fun first Christmas tradition...maybe we'll have to try some other neighborhoods in the coming weeks too! As a little girl, my brothers and I always loved it when my parents took us to "Christmas Card Lane" in Kalamazoo. Our trip in the car to see the Christmas lights brought back those great childhood memories! :)
