Kaden loved doing this Advent calendar every night before Christmas. This was our first year with this calendar (given to us from Aunt Joyce), and he really loved doing a symbol every night...and wanted to do 2 or 3 every night after dinner! :) This Advent calendar tells the Christmas story, so it was a great way to teach him about the true meaning of Christmas and review the story of Christ's birth.
And then we have another new activity...not about Jesus at all... :)

And then we have another new activity...not about Jesus at all... :) Throwing reindeer food in the yard Christmas Eve afternoon for Santa's reindeer! Kaden really didn't get it, but enjoyed the thought of it...Christmas morning he said, "I think the reindeer food is still outside- they didn't come to our house, Mommy." :)

Last Christmas I started a family tradition of giving the kids a Christmas book on Christmas Eve. I picked "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" this year, and we read the book Christmas Eve afternoon before putting out the reindeer food.
Christmas pajamas by the Christsmas tree...hard to get a great picture of both of them together this year as one will hardly smile and look at the camera at the same time (Kaden), and the other won't sit still (Makenna)!

They both loved the tent & tunnel. Kaden has hung out in the tent with all his new toys the whole time we've been home between lunch, naps, parties & church! :)
